Recently I have been working my way North along the North East coast of england visiting the various towns and beaches that I have not previously been to in an attempt to experience new parts of the country and discover new photographic oportunities.
Redcar is a place we visited often when I was a child but only vague memories remain, I knew the area of teeside was always fairly industrial but I didnt quite realise the scale of the heavy industry that remains to this day.

The banks of the river Tees and the surrounding areas are completely covered in infrastructure for the shipping ports, manufacturing facillities and other industrial works. No matter which direction you look the horizon is filled with sillouetted machinery and man made structures.
But from all of that what stands proudest is the site that appears to be for the manufacture and assembly of wind turbines. As the turbines are assembled they can tower upto 120 meters in height making them some of the tallest most eye catching structures in the area.
